October 2000 - Traveling with my brother we started out in London and and saw most everything we wanted. We hooked up with some Canadians staying in the same hotel. We stayed in the Paddington area within London which has some decent pubs and pastry shops close with some good food and interesting people. Among the most interesting things we saw were the Royal Jewels, which are housed inside the Tower of London, and the part of town just southeast of Tower Bridge.

October 2000 - My brother and I stayed in a B&B in the town of Inverness which is at the northern end of Loch Ness. Loch Ness has several castles near it which make for interesting history and scenery. We even took a one hour boat tour of Loch Ness with a guide that sounds just like Sean Connery. A part of Loch Ness is even named after him, called 'Williams Deep'. I highly recommend visiting Scotland in Fall because of the beautiful colors.

October 2000 - The Isle of Skye doesn't really have much to offer except scenery. There are a few castles and very few roads on this island and it is rather expensive just to get onto and off of it. They had their fair share of sheep as well. The people in this area were extremely nice and we stayed in a wonderful B&B near the Isle of Skye, right next to the Eilean Donan Castle which is on Loch Duich. This castle turned out to be the only one that was still livable and had family reunions and weddings held in it of the ones we saw.
