December 2000 - This is a cool place to go and a great place to ski. Not being a very good skier I can only comment on a couple of slopes, but the ones I did ski were awesome. It gets dark early which worked out well for this out-of-shape skier, but it made for long evenings. Most of the restaurants were Italian since we were so close to the Italy border, which is a good thing since this is my favorite type of food. The stores had rather strange hours which made the early evening a bad time to do anything. This town is nestled in a huge valley that never sees direct sunlight in the winter. The only way in and out is by train and only electric vehicles are allowed.
