October 2000 - Brussels was not really a tourist friendly town but we managed to find our way around for the couple of days that we were there. It doesn't take long to see most of what Brussels has to offer. The museums were very nice and the night life is pretty hoppin'. It also had some of the nicest hostels I've ever seen. The main attractions are the Town Centre and the Mannekan Pis statue. The food was a very good and the waffles almost killed us because they were so sweet and rich, but I'm not complaining.
